Sydney currently serves as the Program Director. She joined BOLD Girl Collective because she wanted to be a part of an organization that was specifically helping and mentoring girls who looked like her. She loves being able to see the growth and development of the girls we serve. In these three years, she has seen girls become more confident, exhibit leadership, and really command the space they are owed.

One thing that’s really stuck with her at BGC is something our Founder and Executive Director always says: we do the "heartwork." And it’s so true. Every day, we get to pour love into our girls while also challenging them to grow into the best versions of themselves. We’re not just present for the highlights—we walk with them through every stage, every struggle, and every success. That depth of connection and purpose is what makes this work so meaningful.How do you define what it means to be bold?

A fun fact about her is that she has over 270 books.

After four years of teaching and earning a Bachelor's in Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Education, a Master’s in Education Policy, and a Paralegal Certificate—she has come to realize that she wants to be a changemaker in education. Her goal is to shape systems, not just survive them. She wants to work at the intersection of policy, justice, and equity—advocating for students and communities that are often left behind. Whether it’s through policy reform, legal advocacy, or leadership in education spaces, she wants to use every tool she has gained to build a better, fairer future for young people.
